At Grasvenor, children's learning is topic based and comprised of high quality active learning experiences and levels of challenge which are appropriate for each individual in order to prepare our children for the ever changing world in which we live.

As part of this preparation for the future, during the course of the school year, the children will be involved in a variety of fun activites with their year 2 peers at Underhill School. This will ensure that their transition from Y2 to Y3 is a very positive experience.

Outings and Trips

During your child’s school year, we endeavour to go on several school trips. These include visiting museums in London, performances, etc. We encourage parents & carers to try and come on at least one of them. (Unfortunately we can not accommodate siblings on these trips.) School will provide lunch for these trips, and your child will need a Waterproof Coat, Sensible Shoes for walking (trainers are allowed).

Lincolnsfield - During their time in year 2 our children will take part in a residential trip to a fantastic facility called The Lincolnsfield Centre. During their stay they will have the opportunity to take part in some fantastic learning activities.

Your child’s progress throughout the year will be documented on our online learning journey platform Evernote. This will include observations, pictures and audio notes. Evernote has a work chat facility which we use as a means of communication between Parents/Carers and classroom staff.
